Families Services Northwest (FSNW) provides professional parent-child visitation, supervision and exchange services. We serve families in King, Snohomish, Island and Skagit, Whatcom and Greater Western Washington

At FSNW, we are committed to serving families who are in transition through divorce or state involvement. We understand that sometimes events occur in the life of families that require 3rd party involvement. During those times it is vital to maintain family connection and communication while respecting the guidelines set down by the state or the court. We provide safe, professional and structured services that support healthy and appropriate interactions during parent-child visits – in person, on the telephone or during visitation exchange. As a family-centered organization, we believe that all parties are deserving of professional, courteous and respectful service.

Our professional staff keep excellent visitation logs that include times, dates and attendees for all visitation and written reports are provided to the contracting party in a timely manner following all scheduled visits.

We strive to meet the scheduling needs of our clients, so offer flexible scheduling that includes evenings and weekends. State funded visitation is flexible regarding evening and weekend visitation, however, excludes our holiday schedule. Holiday visitation is available. Premium rates apply.

Trained Staff

Our staff undergo a 3 day, 24 hour, initial intensive training that meets DSHS training requirements and requires proficiency in:

• Child Welfare policies
• The legal system
• Cultural Competency
• Child Development
• Attachment
• Understanding Families
• Dynamics of abuse and neglect
• Parental Alienation
• State Safe Parenting Guidelines
• Appropriate reporting to court and state agencies
• CPR Certified
• Child Safety Seat Certification

Parent-child visitation specialists are also trained to recognize indicators of emotional, physical and sexual abuse, neglect, parental conflict, substance abuse and parental alienation.

Meeting Locations

Family Services Northwest Parent-Child Visitation Supervisors offer visitation and exchanges at agreed upon locations such as:

• Libraries,
• Restaurants,
• Community centers,
• Children’s museums,
• Any safe and appropriate location agreed upon by both parties.
  
  

Additionally, we are able to provide on-site visitation at our corporate office.
